Like the title says. Its the same as the original, only in color and with retina display support. If you bought the original, no need to get this one, it adds nothing. It would be nice if this had the expansion built in, but it doesnt. If you bought the expansion from the first, it doesnt carry over, you have to buy it again. Its fun, but wow the idea of this being a special edition is extremely misleading. I would like the ability to play this version in black and white like the original, it looks better that way IMHO. Great game, but misleading "special edition"

Would like to play this game but it wont even start after the update...

Its not that it wont open forever. You just have to delete the game and reinstall it so the update registers.
